Common Questions:

Should I have a locksmiths change the locks when I buy a new house?

Yes. Who has a key? An old tenant of the house before you bought it? A neighbor? Old workers? Why take a chance!

Can one key open all the locks in my house?

Yes. It’s a simple process of determining if your locks are compatible or not. Just take one existing key and insert into each lock cylinder, if the key inserts into each cylinder they are compatible. If not, a few changes to hardware and you can still have one key. So in any case, our locksmiths can do it.

What does re-keying a lock mean?

It means to change the combination of a lock and not the hardware to create a new key for the lock. This will disable any keys previously in use.

Can thieves use a bump key to open my lock?

Yes. But, it is unlikely that you will have your lock bumped open. However, we do provide bump proof locks.

Should I change the locks when I open new business?

Yes. Who has a key? An old worker? A tenant before you? Don’t take a chance, protect your investment!
